Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of UsefulCrate (the "Service"), a collection of free browser-based utilities. By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

UsefulCrate provides client-side tools that run inside your web browser. Because the tools execute locally, we do not receive, store, or process the files and text you use with them. See our Privacy Policy for details.

2. No account, no cost

The Service is free to use and requires no registration. It is supported by advertising. We may add, change, or remove individual tools at any time, and we may discontinue the Service without notice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to process material you do not have the right to process.
• Attempt to interfere with, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Copy, mirror, or republish substantial parts of the Service as your own product.
• Remove or obscure advertising or attribution placed on the Service.

You are responsible for the material you choose to process, and for complying with any law that applies to it.

4. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the Service for personal or commercial purposes, but you may not redistribute it as a competing product. You retain all rights to the content you process — we never receive it, so we claim nothing over it.

5. Third-party services and advertising

The Service displays advertising supplied by third parties, and may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control those parties and are not responsible for their content, products, or practices. Your dealings with them are solely between you and them.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular output will be accurate or suitable for your needs.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us to use the Service (which is zero) or the minimum permitted by law.

Keep your own copies. Always work on a copy of important files, and verify any output before relying on it. The tools resize, re-encode, convert, and transform data, and transformations can be lossy.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service or your breach of these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer rights available to you under the law of your own country of residence.
